I am a multi-disciplinary, contemporary artist and designer working in the beautiful city of Mackay. With abundant natural beauty and beaches less than five minutes away, it’s easy to find inspiration.

I experience sensory cross-over, so much of my work is sensory in subject, how something feels, smells, sounds, tastes. I work in a few mediums; textile, paint and I create large scale digital prints to illustrate sound.

Ever since I was a child, I have loved art. Colour, line shape and pattern have always drawn my eye. Making art soothes my soul and I want to create artworks that do that for other people too.

Nature and music inspire me to create. They conjure shapes, colour and movement. Often, I get a sense of temperature or taste with certain sounds. I believe that we all do.. Think of fingernails scraping across a blackboard. There is a feeling that I want to show the people that view my work. It is my way of connecting with others and the world.

I am constantly drawn to nature’s art; the colours of a sunset, the texture of rock, the play of light on water. All completely mesmerising. Don’t you agree?
