Hi I am Bree. I'm a fine art botanical photographer based in Dysart, Queensland. I use all kinds of botanical materials to create my work - leaves, pods, seeds, flowers, etc....My studio is where ever the plants take me. I love working with double exposure photography techniques to add depth, pattern, texture, and unexpected compostion, colour and light. I also experiment with altering plant material to capture unique imagery - freezing, dissecting, buring, painting over organic forms, drying, pressing etc.. to reveal plant reactions and hidden beauty that aren't normally seen with the naked eye. Beyond my own practice I am deeply passionate about the benefits of art for mental health and the role creativity can play in helping people deal with grief, anxiety, depression etc...
