A reflection on water and its influence on our mind, body and spirit by Kerry Williams, visual artist.
We live in a beautiful area with abundant water sources: a blue river, beaches, the ocean dotted with islands, mangrove creeks, freshwater streams and rain-fed waterfalls. Plus the rain, there’s always the rain!
Our interaction with water is highly sensory. We notice light glinting off water, the scent of imminent rain and the joy of paddling, swimming and bathing. “Water Works” shares my feelings and thoughts on water-its touch, the colours from light reflections, the sound it makes and the unique scent of the ocean and fresh rain.
